Playing for Keeps: Sport in the Lives of Women
An MSU Celebration of Women, Sports, and the Arts and Humanities
Writing
about Sports & Women's Lives
New writing about sports and women's lives grew out of a 4-week writing workshop led by MSU creative writing professor Anita Skeen. However we move our bodies, experiences with physical activity and the body moving in the world affect and shape everyday lives. These ordinary activities in which we participate result in extraordinary growth and awareness as well as increased emotional and physical strength. Participants in the workshop read from their writing; and the writers and members of the audience discussed the works on Thursday, March 4, 2004 at the MSU Library.
